In support of his grand new album, Love to Make Music To, Daedelus makes a stop at Snow in Los Angeles, an indie music micro-festival for the dance-inclined. LA's only Victorian dandy electronic music-maker crafts versatile, sample-based avant-hop that has the power to recall vintage '30s sounds while simultaneously hinting at modern genres like electro, dubstep, and Baltimore club. Tonight he shares the stage with a coterie of bounce-and-sway-obsessed acts, including Busdriver and the Mae Shi — the former an LA emcee with spit-fire lyrics, and the latter a spazzy electro-rock outfit.
