Akon staked his claim to catchy club music with 2006 hit "Smack That." A hero to club DJs and teenage iTuners alike, he's since become the go-to guy for house-influenced hip-hop. His tough-guy veneer appeals to women in search of an edgier Usher, and his sex-driven songs and on-stage antics (he recently plead guilty to tossing a fan off the stage) precede him everywhere he goes. He's joined tonight by hip-hop diva-in-training Shontelle. Expect sweaty bodies, and, perhaps, even a few human projectiles.
