Divine Design

Activist and spiritual writer Marianne Williamson founded Project Angel Food in 1989 to help bring nourishment to those with life-threatening illnesses; it has since grown into a multimillion-dollar humanitarian organization. In its 18th annual Divine Design – a discount-shopping bonanza – the org takes care of constituents and consumers alike, offering holiday gifts at half their retail price. And, since all proceeds benefit the organization, reluctant holiday buyers can feel safe in the knowledge that they're not acting like crazed seasonal consumers.
