HDFEST Los Angeles returns for its ninth year, celebrating high-definition technology's integral role in the 21st century movie-going experience. Screening documentaries, experimental films, shorts, and seven full-length features, the festival offers a veritable banquet for HD enthusiasts and an informative introduction for those less familiar with the technology. This week, the festival also stages its annual Deffie Award Ceremony, a nice cap to its slate of parties, panels, and showcases on subjects like high-def animation and music videos.
