Pitchfork-anointed hot new things Crystal Antlers take a free-form, orchestral approach, layering sizzling rock with trippy, space-obsessed interludes. Hot off last summer's successful Fuck Yeah tour with Matt & Kim, Team Robespierre, and the Death Set, the Cali-based five promise a soaring, sludgy set. Unfortunately, they play second fiddle to the decidedly bland headliners the Bronx, but since this is one of Crystal Antlers' last shows in the States before embarking on a massive European tour in early 2009, it's worth attending for the opener.
