Music: Rock/Pop Rufus Wainwright

Before Rufus Wainwright put out Release the Stars, the enfant terrible half-joked that the record would be his last serious attempt at pop stardom before ditching the charts for opera. Fortunately, Stars was a critical and commercial success, although the Toronto-born singer's tongue-in-cheek threat proved to be far from idle — he's now busy writing and producing his first opera for the Met, appropriately titled Prima Donna. Tonight, the baritone checks in for a set of Stars' tunes, a few showboating numbers from his back catalog, and — fingers crossed — another onstage Wainwright family reunion.
