The Do Lab lights up alt-culture art and music festivals around the world, via such vehicles as the extraordinary Misting Oasis at last year's Coachella; installations at the annual Lightning in a Bottle festival in Santa Barbara; and the stunning, 100-foot-tall venus flytrap and flower cranes at Burning Man. The LA-based ensemble of artists, event producers, lighting designers, and performers unveils its first project of 2008 with Lucent L'Amour — a 20,000-square-foot warehouse space transformed into a magical multimedia wonderland. The party features performances and DJ sets from Bassnectar, Vibesquad, David Starfire, and Welder, along with live painting, VJs, glass-blowing, a burlesque revue, and the imaginative antics of performance troupe Lucent Dossier.
