Eric Ronick of Panic at the Disco takes his side project, Black Gold, to the stage this evening at the Roxy for a little extracurricular funk rock that's actually both more panicky and more disco-y than his main gig's sound. Charging the stage earlier in the evening are rock squires Crash Kings, whose first pilgrimage to indie-rock fest South by Southwest this year will be followed by the release of their debut EP. With an earth-shaking assault of sound, the brothers Beliveau and Jason Morris of Crash Kings make their move on the urban indie scene, wielding a keyboard, a bass, and a drum kit in battle.
