In 2001, Colorado-based artist Evan Hecox inaugurated Culver City's Kinsey/DesForges gallery. Now he returns in a show that highlights how they have each evolved. In DF (Distrito Federal), Hecox's paintings, drawings, and woodblock prints capture the radiant and chaotic Mexico City, where the artist recently traveled. Using a variety of images and styles that evoke a tangled urban web, Hecox reveals the beauty in breakdowns.
