This year's Pan-African Film Festival has a little bit of everything, from comedy to spoken word, workshops, panels, a fashion show, and Caribbean music. NAACP Image Award-winner Isaiah Washington hosts the Opening Night Gala, and Heroes' Jimmy Jean-Louis MCs a tribute to actress/singer Della Reese. For hip-hop fans, Ava DuVernay's This Is the Life tells the true story of LA collective, the Good Life, as they work to overcome obstacles and find their own diverging paths. The documentary features interviews with Cut Chemist and DJ Shadow.
