The Village at Ed Gould Plaza says…

Before Amy Winehouse, there was Dusty Springfield. Regarded as one of the first white songstresses to authentically incorporate black soul music into her own repertoire, Springfield remains an icon to many contemporary artists, including Sinéad O'Connor, Morrissey, and Elvis Costello. Featuring 13 of Springfield's signature hits, including "Son of a Preacher Man," Stay Forever also tackles the singer's personal life, highlighting her bold, ahead-of-its-time, open bisexuality and her refusal to perform to segregated South African crowds. Singer/actress Kirsten Holly Smith stars in this world-premiere one-woman musical.
