At this point, calling YouTube a trend would be a gross understatement; DIY filmmaking and broadcasting are as common as your regularly scheduled programming. USC School of Cinematic Arts examines the state of the filmmaking union with 24/7: A DIY Video Summit. The three-day event gathers filmmakers, enthusiasts, scholars, industry peeps, and voyeurs for a series of screenings, lectures (from John Seely Brown and Howard Rheinold, among others), and workshops.
