Lest we forget that waging war should be a heavily informed last resort, writer/director Dale Kutzera brings us Military Intelligence and You! — an irresistible satire of one-track military minds, with prize-worthy posthumous appearances by the likes of Ronald Reagan, William Holden, and Alan Ladd. Kutzera weaves amusing and authentic World War II why-we-fight training footage with the story of a bungling bunch of intelligence officers searching for a Nazi base. While a certain invasion-cavalier country is especially skewered, the film lampoons the ignorance of anyone who shoots first and asks questions later.
