Spanish conquistadors beware: payback is a bitch. Nathan Mabry exacts Montezuma's revenge with irreverently styled bronze sculptures based on Pre-Columbian Moche ceramics and bedazzled Mixtec mosaic drawings on Mylar. Nothing is sacred to Mabry, who mashes modern aesthetics with ancient imagery, adding Swarovski bling to a skull's grill, sculpting minimalist figures in compromising positions, and defacing traditional busts with a surprising selection of animal-snout masks.
