Music: Rock/Pop Ed Harcourt w/ the Chapin Sisters and Everest

Singer/songwriter Ed Harcourt has released multiple albums and toured with well-known artists (R.E.M., Wilco, Snow Patrol), and yet, he has still to become a household name. At least his multiple albums of upbeat, earnest pop songs have earned him an ardent following in his native UK. Harcourt crafts tidy, romantic ballads at the piano, but can readily ratchet up the rhythm to more swingin' fare, as in the jangly, Beach Boys-inspired "Born in the '70s" from 2004's Strangers. He headlines at the Echoplex in support of his latest, The Beautiful Lie, alongside local favorites the Chapin Sisters and Everest.
