Combining bright bits of lo-fi electro and pouty girl-pop, the Ting Tings fit snuggly into our post-Justice popocalypse. The Mancs already have NME's panties in bunches, and with a US tour underway, it's really only a matter of time before you hear their "That's Not My Name" soundtracking an iPod commercial. Their sound itself is spare (Jules on drums, Katie on mic and guitar), but their Tony Basil chants are impossibly catchy, making Ting Ting tunes irresistible to DJs and remixers; check Calvin Harris' remix of "Great DJ" — a video that's practically an iPod ad already, come to think of it.
