Part of the Rhymesayers collective, Brother Ali comes from a solid hip-hop family that includes Atmosphere and MF DOOM. He's slowly but surely building a diverse fan base in the underground with his straightforward lyricism, expressing emotion without melodrama in songs about his own life and musings on the world at large. Backed only by turntables, the passion and energy of Ali's lyrical delivery do justice to that of his idols KRS-One and Rakim.
