Los Angeles' Anna Sew Hoy takes inspiration from her medical-doctor father in her latest exhibition POW!, which focuses on the theme of physical injury, treatment, and recovery. For this exhibition, the artist built two elaborate, handmade plaster sculptures with sensual surfaces, and a related installation. The gallery also shows the work of New York's Wade Guyton and Kelley Walker, with site-specific wall paintings in an atmospheric, mixed-media flurry of text and patterns, plus a public billboard project on the gallery's La Cienega Boulevard rooftop.
