Armageddon looms at Eddie Ruscha Jr.'s debut solo show. The son of the pop-art icon pairs psychedelic works on canvas and paper with a cosmic audio installation that showcases his repertoire as both an inspired visual artist and DJ. The doomsday theme is both piercing and ironic, strewn with pop-culture references, narcotics, and the emotional pessimism that Ruscha finds in the spirit of contemporary Western civilization.
Note: The closing party "Eddie Ruscha's Musical Meltdown" takes place on Fri Apr25 (8:33pm).
