Prepare to get that tingly feeling when Austin's instrumental quartet Explosions in the Sky bring their sprawling post-rock to the Wiltern tonight. After drawing notice for their epic songs (as well as an apocryphal 9/11 connection), they were commissioned to write the soundtrack to 2004's unorthodox sports movie Friday Night Lights. Last year's All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone saw the band further develop their cinematic style while deftly mixing post-rock's sonic swells and hushed restraint. Opening are Lichens, the side project of 90 Day Men's Rob Lowe.
