Music: DJ KCRW presents Kraak & Smaak

Funky Dutchmen Kraak & Smaak took their name from an old Dutch proverb, "kraak noch smaak," which translates to "no crunch, no taste" — a warning they evidently take seriously. Having already established a name for themselves on the DJ circuit and remix scene — they've recently made over tracks by Mark Rae, Richard Dorfmeister, and Jamiroquai — the trio has lately built buzz courtesy of their live act. To bring their quirky breakbeat funk to the stage, K&S have enlisted the help of a full band, with a bass player, drummer, multiple singers, and keyboard players. Whether in the booth or onstage, these guys always keep the beats crunchy and the sounds tasty.
