For her debut solo bow in the United States, French artist Anne-Laure Sacriste shows new large-scale paintings at Chung King Project. Her haunting paintings are dark, oil-on-wood composites that straddle the boundary between landscape and fantasy — they beckon viewers into an eerie and fantastical world of lakes, mountains, trees, and sky suffused with inky, poetic abstraction.
