Simon Lord, one half of the Black Ghosts, may not be a household name; but unless you've been trapped in a panic room for the last decade, his voice is probably lodged deep within your brain. Lord's last band, Simian, were responsible for the seminal indie-dance anthem "We Are Your Friends," and he recently recorded a guest spot for his old bandmates (now Simian Mobile Disco) on their recent single "I Believe." In Lord's new outfit, a collaboration with ex-Wiseguys DJ Theo Keating, he lays those unmistakable vocals over booming synth-pop and nu-funk numbers.
