Art Faith47, Johnny Yanok, Joulu, Mike Kershnar, and Misery: Anything Could Happen...
-
- Mike Kershnar, The Reverend Horton Heat, Courtesy Carmichael Gallery
In the group show Anything Could Happen..., five international artists get together to celebrate the vibrancy of contemporary street art. From sobering reflections on inequality in South Africa to a kitschy portal into the woods of the American Midwest, the contributors explore postmodern angst, the joy of spontaneity, and the possibility of self-discovery. The media used — paint, graphite, spray paint, skate decks — are as varied as the subjects portrayed, with the often unorthodox materials adding dimension and spirit to the gallery walls.
Note: There is an opening reception on Sat Mar 22 (8pm-midnight).
