Film You Pick 'Em 2! A Selection of Experimental Films from Canyon Cinema

San Francisco-based Canyon Cinema is devoted to collecting experimental and avant-garde films from the 1930s to the present day. As if that's not cool enough, the group also promises to give more than 40% of its returns to the filmmakers involved. Tonight, Film Forum shows a selection of rarely screened experimental films, including Hand Eye Coordination (2002), Womancock (1965), and Hold Me While I'm Naked (1966); in true democratic fashion, members of Film Forum's email list selected the films from the vast Canyon Cinema catalogue. They're shown this evening at the lovely Echo Park Film Center, instead of the usual screening spot at the Egyptian.
