It's about time filmmakers tackled the real, day-to-day struggles zombies face in their, uh, "lives" — like, for example, the issues that might crop up when reanimated corpses date the living. Thankfully, new documentary American Zombie brings a voice — and a pale, half-rotted face — to these long-silenced citizens. Two UCLA film-school grads put their awards and expertise to good use behind the lens, following four LA residents who write zines, found zombie-advocacy groups, play guitar, practice yoga, happen to be zombies, and stand proud under the declaration, "We're here. We're dead. Get used to it."
