Santa Monica's Powerhouse Theatre hosts a new batch of solo plays ranging from the comedic to the tragic, the experimental to the just plain unclassifiable. The 15 plays are all works in progress, the result of a workshop that mined the rich vein of writers' personal (though not always autobiographical) histories for stage and screen production. The writers/performers test their nascent pieces on festival audiences and tweak accordingly, so come and do your part of the creative process.
