After exploring self-described "Dylan-esque acoustic stuff" on 2005's well-received Howl, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club returned to their hard-rock roots on 2007's Baby 81. The record is full of the catchy riffs and shoegazing jangle that first catapulted the band into the spotlight with 2001's eponymous debut. Despite a label switch and drummer Nick Jago's temporary departure and subsequent return, the tirelessly touring power trio has maintained a dedicated following. Tonight, the boys in black bring their distortion pedals to the Wiltern for another rafter-rattling set of jams, old and new.
