Charles Bukowski was the unofficial poet of skid row. Whether writing about his sexual escapades, betting on horses, or breathing life into a mundane job, Bukowski relentlessly smeared the line between truth and fiction. Despite his popularity with down-and-out youths and beatniks of all ages, Bukowski's work is still relatively under the radar, and portraits of the author are still fairly rare (Mickey Rourke in Barfly doesn't count). Tonight, catch a screening of ultra-rare footage of "Hank" at his best: having a cigarette, drinking wine, and, of course, reading his poetry.
