Brooklyn-based, Israeli-born dance band Balkan Beat Box (aka Tamir Muskat and former Gogol Bordello member Ori Kaplan) turn the brassy intensity of Balkan gypsy music into an updated, electronic take on the genre. With a revolving cast of touring musicians, the group puts on a raucous live show featuring acrobats, belly dancers, and mohawked touring member Tomer Yosef leaping around shirtless while spitting rhymes in English and Hebrew.
