Everything But the Kitschen Sync

The type of work that's usually celebrated at La Luz de Jesus Gallery, located inside Wacko (the Costco of kitsch), is usually irreverent, curious, and at the forefront of post-illustration urban art. Once a year, the gallery puts on an enormous juried exhibition, and this year's theme-free show brings together over 150 pieces by more than 100 artists — including tattooists, scenic painters, commercial illustrators, animators, and more. It's pretty much the only place in LA where you can check out some of the freshest boundary-pushing art and pick up a Jenna Jameson keychain or chili-pepper holiday lights on your way out.

Note: There is an opening reception on Fri Mar 7 (8-11pm).
