Music Lili Haydn

Lili Haydn carved out a perfectly respectable niche for herself as one of the most sought-after professional violinists in LA, playing with everyone from Tom Petty to Robert Plant to the LA Philharmonic. The high priest of funk, George Clinton, even declared her "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin." But 11 years ago, she decided to release her first solo album, Lili, and has since proven herself not only a virtuoso on the violin, but also an adept singer/songwriter. Tonight, she celebrates the release of her newest album, Place Between Places, and partners up with Amnesty International USA, which is celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. TV host Bill Maher plays MC, with Haydn working her buttery, Sia-style vocals and swaying strings as the main act.
