Black Frame and ForYourArt present the first annual LA Art Weekend festival. From the premiere of Laurie Anderson's new piece, Homeland, to a theatrical cabaret performance by Weimar New York, LA Art Weekend includes a hodgepodge of cultural offerings hosted by LA's biggest hitters: the Getty, the MAK Center, and REDCAT. The festival also features the first Pop-Up Storefront for Art & Architecture Los Angeles, the art world's answer to the proliferation of guerrilla commerce. Temporarily housed at Paperchase Printing in Hollywood, the storefront project showcases provocative work by French photographer Frédéric Chaubin, whose photographs of Cold War-era architectural artifacts pack a surprisingly imaginative punch.
