The LA vs War festival takes over the area around the classic downtown firehouse to create a forum for artists and musicians to voice their discontent with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The four peaceful days feature the return of the touring Yo! What Happened to Peace? poster exhibition, Hit + Run's custom shirts, a Crewest graffiti and stencil jam, and an exhibition from the local peace scholars at the Center for the Study of Political Graphics. There's also music from Dublab, film screenings, light shows, and a big, fat mural by a famous street artist we're not at liberty to name.
