LA-based nonprofit NextAid and Nu-Soul magazine curate FUSION, a party thrown in support of African children who have been orphaned by the AIDS virus. Tonight's bill features singer/songwriter Samantha James, whose dreamy, sultry vocal style is comparable to Bebel Gilberto or Sade, and St. Louis native Black Spade, who spits a genre-dissolving mix of lyrics and styles.
