It's been almost seven years since Dance Camera West began providing audiences with films from around the world and presenting them with theatrical flair in locales across Los Angeles. For No Dancing at the Mandrake, DCW happily turns the lens around to focus on local dance filmmakers. More like an "open projector" than an open mic, attendees bring their own dance films (a BYODVD, if you will), sidle up to the bar, and peek at each other's work. Both filmmakers and film lovers are welcome.
