Music: Rock/Pop Serge Gainsbourg Night

The sensual, rolling baritone of Parisian singer/songwriter Serge Gainsbourg sits alongside esteemed company — the nasally twirl of Bob Dylan, the confident rumble of Leonard Cohen, the caress-inducing croon of Barry White — voices so unique and transcendent they became icons of their respective musical genres. Though Gainsbourg passed on in 1991, a love for his brand of swinging French pop continues. Tonight, a gang of supremely talented local musicians — and Francophiles, no doubt — tackles the handsome lothario's swoon-worthy songs in a tribute performance. Nicole Simone, Joel Virgil, Adele Jacques, Alex and Sam, and Bjorn Turoque take the stage and give homage to Monsieur Gainsbourg as part of the Fold in Bordello series.
