This year marks the 45th anniversary of By or of Marcel Duchamp or Rrose Sélavy, the famous Marcel Duchamp retrospective at the Pasadena Art Museum (now the Norton Simon). This commemorative exhibition, Marcel Duchamp Redux, contains a dozen works acquired in the time since that survey. Duchamp's dynamic, subversive conceptual bent is on display in a series of drawn-over reproductions (like the infamous Mona Lisa-with-a-mustache), "rotoreliefs" that haven't been on view since 1963, and images of the original retrospective, which Duchamp himself attended.
