Art: Photography Newer Topographics: Photographs of Digitally Altered Urban Landscapes
-
- Jeremy Kidd from Hyper Architectural Typologies, courtesy California Museum of Photography
This exhibition juxtaposes the work of idealist photographers Jeremy Kidd and Eric Curry, both of whom use digital manipulation in arresting multimedia and photographic works. Through time-lapse photography and panoramic views, Kidd re-imagines the urban landscape as a technological Neverland full of lavish, disorienting architectural elements. Curry, on the other hand, takes a magical-realist approach to machines and vehicles, layering images to generate hyper-real, impossibly perfect objects.
