Music: Rock/Pop Peter Case w/ Paul Curreri

Singer/songwriter Peter Case brings his down-home, finger-picked folk rock to McCabe's this evening. The Buffalo-born Case has come a long way since his days in new-wave band the Nerves, whose song "Hanging on the Telephone" (which most people know best through Blondie's version) was recently covered by Cat Power to lovely effect, and featured in a prominent cell phone ad. One of Bruce Springsteen's favorite songwriters, Case never fails to put on a show for the ages, with inimitable lyricism and an endearing swagger. Arrive early and catch special guest Paul Curreri.
