The US vs John Lennon reads more like a political exposé, detailing the shadowy events surrounding the federal government's suspicions about (and covert aggression toward) the ex-Beatle and his family. Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man, meanwhile, traces the recent Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame inductee through five decades of alt-folk superstardom and personal/political upheaval using extensive footage from his original concerts and a few all-star tributes.
