Performing Arts: Comedy Los Angeles Comedy Festival

Los Angeles has long been a breeding ground for the hilarious, thanks to veteran improv groups like the Groundlings and relative newcomers like the Upright Citizens Brigade (whose Casey Wilson is the newest SNL cast member). The LA Comedy Festival celebrates the scene with almost three weeks of nonstop improv, sketch, and standup comedy. Performers from across the continent descend upon the McCadden Theatre for the festival's third season, hoping to split a few sides and, ideally, become the next big thing.
