May 13, 2008 – June 21, 2008
Tuesdays–Saturdays (11am–5pm)
Co-curated by Patrick Painter Gallery's Heather Harmon and Bandini's own Ashley McLean Emenegger, Blood & Glitter is a group exhibition about the seductive dangers of the glamorous life, featuring work that's indulgent, exotic, and candy-coated in both style and substance. Painters Alejandro Gehry and Eddie Ruscha, for example, each explore the desires induced by curvaceous cars and other bodies, using a fantastical, saturated palette. James Gobel's collages and Carrie Jenkins' paintings, meanwhile, express the relationship between fashion and identity in diverse styles and media.
