Those who didn't get enough banging spoons and blazing temperatures during Coachella 2008 should take the 10 back east for more indie rock and experimental art. The Joshua Tree Roots Music Festival (Coachella's little sister) celebrates desert beats over a dance-oriented three-day run, with two stages alternating up-and-coming acts with increasingly bigger headliners.
