If you live in California, you've most likely heard of Don Ed Hardy — or at least of his ubiquitous fashion label, Ed Hardy, known for its clothes and accessories emblazoned with old-school tattoo motifs. Hardy's Japanese-style, tattoo-inspired pop art is now on display at Track 16 Gallery, which exhibits the West Coast icon's new works on paper and mixed-media sculpture. Appropriately, the gallery also displays Michael McCabe's Kustom Japan, a collection of images documenting the low-rider automobile's presence in Japanese pop culture.
