Still feeling the love from last month's star-studded tribute to his 40 years in Los Angeles, Plácido Domingo returns to the stage to conduct Giacomo Puccini's tragic melodrama Tosca. One of the composer's most political operas, it tells a three-act tale of love, betrayal, and the fatal jealousy of famed singer (and title character) Floria Tosca. First performed in Rome in 1900, Tosca came hot on the heels of the Puccini's biggest hit, La Bohème. This season's LA Opera staging includes tenor Neil Shicoff and Canadian soprano Adrianne Pieczonka.
