Venice-based painter Mark Hobley takes iconic logos, scantily-dressed women, and playing cards (often at the same time) and transforms them into graphically rich pop heroes. He often combs the past for subjects in his dynamic, nostalgic, vintage-tinged works. Hobley introduces his newest collection of paintings in Applegate Gallery's current exhibition, The Visionary.
