La Luz de Jesus says…

When he's not busy inking clients like Master P and Kiki Smith, internationally known tattoo artist Scott Harrison maintains a sweet little reputation as a supremely talented illustrator, painter, and cartoonist. His newest series, Undigested Kernel, depicts macabre black-and-white images of cone-headed circus freaks and axe-wielding skeletons. It arrives at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Silverlake alongside works by artists Samvel Saghatelian (aka Sam Saga) and Thomas Wargin. Saga's Architectural Monsters series uses sculpture and installations to explore the ridiculous tendencies of the nouveau riche to build big, while Harley Davidson designer Wargin employs bronze and aluminum sculptures to bring sketches to life.
