Combining his skills as a photographer, filmmaker, lighting designer, and theatre director, Wim Vandekeybus exploded onto the choreographic scene in 1986 with Ultima Vez, a company that treads on a razor's edge, exhibiting aggressive physicality alongside dark, raw, and instinctive emotion. With inexhaustible energy and pinpoint precision, dancers hurl themselves into one another, onto the ground, and through the air in a tour de force of contact partnering.
