UC Berkeley's Pacific Film Archive lends its video curator, Steve Seid, to the Getty this summer for the California Video Screening Series. As part of the Center's retrospective of the last 40 years of Golden State video art, Seid explores the region's most internationally adored export: celebrity culture. Artists Anne McGuire, Lucas Michael, Karla Milosevich, Leslie Singer, Scott Stark, and others use experimental forms of video in their takes on fame and the public eye's various obsessions.
